Civil and family court filings in Dallas County have remained relatively stable during the seven full calendar year period the Texas Office of Court Administration (OCA) started compiling data from district and county clerks in its current form: card.txcourts.gov/default.aspx. These graphs are captured from a website (www.CourtStatPack.com) we created to interactively display that data in easily customizable charts.
New civil and family filings are stable over the OCA reporting period.

The composition of the docket is largely motor vehicle and consumer.

Judgments on jury verdicts have increased in both civil and family actions.

76.7% of judgments on jury verdicts are in motor vehicle and other injury cases. Most family verdicts are divorce with and without children.

The summary judgment grant rate has declined in civil cases, but that decline has recovered somewhat recently. Summary judgments in family cases are rare.
