DataRobot created an app for making sense out of data.
It mines the data to create accurate models that can predict future behavior. It’s the same type of analysis that Nate Silver with the New York Times’ FiveThirtyEight political blog used to predict the outcome of the last presidential election in favor of President Obama.
DataRobot plans to use its proprietary algorithms to solve all kinds of problems for customers by analyzing their data sets.
DataRobot was the only TechStars Cloud Class of 2013 company that did not pitch at the TechStars Cloud Demo Day on Thursday. Jeremy Achin, DataRobot founder, attended the event. No explanation was given for why the company didn’t pitch.
