Founded in 1881, the University of Texas at Austin has since outgrown its famed “Forty Acres” and flourished into one of the nation’s largest universities. As far back as the turn of the nineteenth century, University officials foresaw enrollment inevitably exceeding the limits of the school’s original campus. Colonel George W.
