Texas Comptroller Arbitrators Ruling Against Residential Taxpayers

The Texas Comptroller maintains a panel of arbitrators to decide real property tax valuation disputes. A ten-year history of those arbitration decisions was recently provided under the Public Information Act. In determining whether the taxpayer or the appraisal district “won” for purposes of who pays the arbitration fee, the Comptroller has determined that the appraisal district wins at 50:50% jump shots and above.
Using its data in residential matters statewide, here are the arbitrators who on average rule against the taxpayer (sorted from highest percentages for the appraisal district):
