The folks at Clio broke down the findings of its full 2016 Legal Trends Report—which outlines several industry metrics for billing rates, hours billed, fee structures, and more—and focused on Texas attorneys, specifically. Here’s some of what they found:
The average hourly billing rate for Texas attorneys was $219—the 13th highest in the U.S. The national average is $232.
Texas lawyers are only spending about 27 percent of their workday on billable work.
