Nobody Has Yet Delivered Disruption

I am the best known for being the founder of Freeserve, which was once the UK’s largest ISP and is now known as Orange broadband. I came up with the idea when I bought a computer and nobody in the store could tell me how to get into the internet, the rest as they say, is history. Freeserve was floated by Dixons and eventually sold for £1.6bn to France Telecom. I held the position of Business Development Director until April 2001 and left following the sale to pursue other business interests. I have a number of investments which I am actively involved in. I am excited by Legal365.com, a new venture that is taking advantage of the de-regulation of the legal market in this country, it is disrupting and innovating the market by introducing new customer friendly business models and affordably fixed pricing. I also sit on the advisory board at the University of Huddersfield Business School.
