San Antonio Attorney Elected Chair of State Bar’s ADR Section for 2014-15 Year

San Antonio attorney-mediator Don Philbinwas elected chair of the State Bar of Texas’ alternative dispute resolution (ADR) section last week at its annual meeting in Dallas.
The State Bar of Texas is the fifth-largest lawyers’ organization in the nation, and its ADR section is one of the oldest and largest groups of dispute-resolution professionals.
Philbin has been a member of the bar’s ADR Section Council since 2006, chaired several of its committees and served as treasurer. He will chair the section for the bar’s 2014–15 year.
Philbin was named one of seven Texas mediators in the 2013 International Who’s Who of Commercial Mediation. He also is an adjunct professor of law and president of Picture It Settled, a company that produces behavioral software to track negotiating patterns in cases.
