Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Please join us at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, California on February 13 through 16, 2014 for our annual Corporate Counsel CLE Seminar!
We are very pleased to announce that — as we did for the first time ever last year — we are once again able to offer FREE REGISTRATION FOR IN-HOUSE COUNSEL for the 2014 Seminar! Please help us spread the word! We are also proud to have three outstanding General Counsel serving as our Honorary Co-Chairs for the Seminar, including Lynn S. McCreary of Fiserv, Inc., Christopher P. Reynolds of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., and Elisa D. Garcia C. of Office Depot, Inc.
Our Seminar has become known for its genuinely relaxed and collaborative environment, in which in-house and outside counsel can converse candidly about a broad array of issues of concern to litigators representing corporations in the volatile economic, legal, regulatory, and technological world we live and work in today. The 2014 edition of our Seminar will feature practical and relevant CLE programs on topics ranging from corporate compliance, ethics and risk management, e-discovery, trial technology and jury dynamics to social media, class action litigation, conflicts of interest, virtual law firms, ADR and more, including our popular General Counsel Forum on Thursday afternoon, February 13th and our lively Litigation Management Roundtable on Sunday morning, February 16th. Also, back by popular demand, we will hold an In-House Counsel Only Open Forum Discussion on Friday, February 14th, providing a unique opportunity for in-house attorneys to engage in an open and dynamic conversation among themselves on topics of keen interest, without outside counsel present.
In addition to our CLE programming, the Seminar will provide opportunities to participate in Committee and Subcommittee business meetings; to attend our Sixteenth Annual Pro Bono Award Luncheon; to enjoy networking receptions and dinners, as well as a variety of other formal and informal social and recreational activities; and to compete in our golf tournament at the Resort’s beautiful and challenging Pete Dye Resort course. If you are not already a member of our Corporate Counsel Committee, we hope, after attending our 2014 Seminar, you will decide to join and become active in the Committee!
Also noteworthy is that in addition to offering FREE REGISTRATION FOR IN-HOUSE COUNSEL, we are offering a SPECIAL DISCOUNT for outside counsel – just bring three or more attorneys from your firm to receive a 33% registration discount for each of you!
We’d like to extend our sincerest thanks to our 2014 Seminar Co-Chairs, Brian Berkley, Sean Bosack, Susan Chema and Denise Zamore for investing their boundless energy and creativity over many months to plan and coordinate every aspect of the Seminar. We’d also like to thank our Co-Sponsoring Committees, including Business Torts Litigation, Minority Trial Lawyer, and The Woman Advocate, for their important contributions to the planning and execution of the event. Finally, we are very grateful to our generous Section, Meeting and Gold/Silver/Bronze Level sponsors, both longstanding and new, without which our Seminar would not be possible.
Our 2014 Seminar Co-Chairs and Section staff have worked wonders to create what is bound to be one of the most valuable, informative, rewarding, enjoyable and memorable CLE Seminars you have ever attended. We hope to see you in California in February!
